The Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program is funded by the Sexual Risk Avoidance Education Program (SRAEP) and the State Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) of the Family and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB) of the Administration on Children, Youth and Families (ACYF).
The Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) program supports Personal Responsibility Education Programs replicating evidence-based effective program models which scientific research indicates changes behavior by delaying sexual activity, increasing condom or contraceptive use for sexually active youth, or reducing pregnancy among youth. In Nevada, implementation of evidence-based, medically accurate, and culturally competent education programming includes the fallowing three adulthood preparation topics: adolescent development, healthy life skills, and healthy relationships. The PREP Program serves disproportionality impacted youth ages 13-19.
