Must my business be licensed in Nevada to obtain a Certificate of Free Sale?

Yes. Food manufacturers and distributors must be currently licensed within the State of Nevada by the Division of Public and Behavioral Health, Carson City Health and Human Services, Washoe County District Health Department or the Southern Nevada Health District in order to receive a Certificate of Free Sale.

Do I have to provide an inspection report with my application?

Certificates will only be issued for products that have been inspected within the last 12 months. If you are not licensed by the Division of Public and Behavioral Health, the latest copy of your local and/or county health inspection report, must accompany your application.

If I only warehouse the processed food item in Nevada can I still get a Certificate of Free Sale?

No. Food must be processed in the State of Nevada to receive a Certificate of Free Sale.
