Application for State Certification


Pursuant to NAC 458.103, A program must be certified by the Health Division to be eligible for any state or federal money for alcohol and drug abuse programs administered by the Health Division pursuant to chapter 458 of NRS for the prevention or treatment of substance-related disorders.

    All applications for treatment services, prevention services, administrative services, or detox technician certifications MUST be completed through our online portal. 

      Pursuant to NAC 458.133 and NAC 458.138, certifications are nontransferable and application fees are nonrefundable. Please verify the information on your application is correct and complete before submitting it to the Bureau for processing.

         Applicants are asked to provide their I-TF number on their certification application. This should be applied for before submitting the certification application.  Turnaround time can be 6-8 weeks.

        Critical Incident Reports

         

        ATTENTION ALL CERTIFIED PROVIDERS:

        The Bureau is in the process of updating its policy and procedure and form for reporting critical incidents. In the interim, please report all critical incidents, as required in NAC458.153(3)(e), to SAPTACerts@health.nv.gov. Please ensure the reports do not include protected health information (PHI). This email box is monitored by the Certification Lead within the Bureau of Behavioral Health Wellness and Prevention. Monitoring and tracking of all CIRs will be done within the Bureau.
