Halfway Houses for Recovering Alcohol and Drug Abusers

With the passage of Assembly Bill 403 during the 2023 session of the Nevada Legislature, the Bureau of Health Care Quality and Compliance will no longer have the authority to license halfway houses for persons recovering from alcohol or other substance use disorders. Halfway house licenses will be closed in HCQC's online licensure system effective July 3, 2023. Reach out to SAPTA (the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Agency) for more information regarding certification requirements.
