University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMC) has two on site COVID-19 testing options at Harry Reid International Airport (formerly McCarran International Airport) where travelers can get a COVID-19 test. In addition to UMC's clinics at McCarran International Airport providing COVID-19 tests, other services are available and include primary urgent care, medical screening exams and physicals for employment. Rapid Real-time PCR COVID-19 tests can be administered in Terminal 1 - Located on Level 2 near A/B Security Checkpoint. Results should be available in 1-2 hours after the test being administered and the current cost is $200 per test.
Standard real time PCR COVID-19 tests can be administered in Terminal 3 - Located at the east end of Level 2 past the airline ticket counters. Results should be available within 26 hours and the current cost is $130.
To schedule an appointment for non travel related COVID-19 testing at UMC, visit one of the UMC Quick Care locations or utilize one of their other COVID-19 testing resources. If you are anywhere in Southern Nevada and need of COVID-19 test, you can find the nearest and/or most convenient location by going to the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) website. It is easy and convenient to schedule a COVID-19 test at a one of the several testing locations.
COVID-19 testing is available at Reno Tahoe International Airport through WellHealth. WellHealth offers COVID-19 tests for ticketed passengers flying within 72 hours of their travel date. The tests offered by WellHealth, a third-party provider, are the Rapid Antigen test and the lab-based Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test. The cost of the Rapid Antigen test is $60 and the results are typically available within 15 minutes. The cost of the lab-based Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test is $135 and the results are typically available within in 48-72 hours. There are many other COVID-19 testing locations throughout the Reno/Sparks area. If you need a COVID-19 testing location that is not at a Point of Entry, you can find an array of COVID-19 testing locations by checking out the Washoe County Health District (WCHD) website. Another option for COVID-19 testing in the Northern Nevada area is through Carson City Health and Human Services (CCHHS). They are based out of Carson City, Nevada but cover Carson City, Douglas County, Lyon County, and Storey County. CCHHS offers frequent COVID-19 testing events in each county they service. Often, an appointment is not required if you attend one of the testing events. CCHHS also offers appointments for COVID-19 testing by calling their COVID-19 hotline, (775) 434-1988 Monday Through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
COVID-19 testing is offered in other rural areas of Nevada, such as Fallon, which is in Churchill County. Churchill County has incentivized COVID-19 testing by offering a $25 Walmart gift card to Churchill County residents who are asymptomatic and have not been vaccinated. There are multiple testing options and locations available each month in Fallon, Nevada, some of which require an appointment, and some do not. Other rural areas that offer COVID-19 Testing are Pahrump, Nevada, which is in Nye County. You can schedule an appointment by either calling (702) 234-5398 or sending an email to Pahrump@serinitymentalhealth.org to schedule a COVID-19 test. Hawthorne, Nevada, in Mineral County offers COVID-19 testing through Mount Grant General Hospital and is by appointment only. These are not the only rural testing locations throughout Nevada.
