Rural Community Health Service (RCHS) Overview

Rural Community Health Service (RCHS) supports communities and serves individuals throughout rural and frontier Nevada. There are 29 clinics that comprise RCHS, which consists of three programs: Rural Counseling and Supportive Services (RCSS), Community Health Nursing (CHN), and Rural Epidemiology. RCSS provides evidence-based outpatient behavioral health and case management services for adults and children. CHN provides adult and child immunizations, EPSDT examinations, lead testing; family planning, cancer screening, and identification/treatment of communicable diseases such as Tuberculosis, Sexually Transmitted Infections and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Rural epidemiology provides communicable diseases investigation and management. Services are provided on a sliding fee scale and all clinics accept private insurance, Medicaid and Medicare. Services are not denied if an individual does not have an ability to pay.
