The Heart and Stroke Prevention Program receives an average of $553,950 per year to support
infrastructure and health systems based strategies for cardiovascular
health and is 100% federally funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
RFA DP13-1305: State Public Health Actions to Prevent and
Control Diabetes, Heart Disease, Obesity and Associated Risk Factors and
Promote School Health. This funding supports statewide
implementation of cross-cutting approaches to reduce the risk factors
associated with childhood and adult obesity, diabetes, heart disease,
and stroke.
