Tuberculosis (TB) Prevention, Control and Elimination Program - Grants

Cooperative Agreement

The Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health’s TB Prevention, Control and Elimination Program is supported by the Tuberculosis Elimination and Laboratory Cooperative Agreement which is a continuing cooperative agreement from the Department of Health and Human Services’ Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, STD’s and TB Prevention, Federal Assistance isting Number 93.116. The mission of the Nevada TB program is twofold: to promote health and quality of life by preventing, controlling, and eventually eliminating tuberculosis from the United States, and to collaborate with other countries and international partners in controlling tuberculosis world-wide. The cooperative agreement funds are available to assist the current efforts of State and local TB programs to address the core TB prevention and control activities leading to TB elimination (e.g. completion of therapy, contact investigation, TB surveillance, TB public health laboratory, human resource development, and program evaluation).
