Complaints: Environmental Health Section


The goal of the Environmental Health Section is to protect and enhance the environmental qualify of life for residents, communities, workers and visitors of Nevada. These goals include providing guidance and public education to businesses which ensure that regulated establishments are operated in a manner that protects the public health.

    It is the policy of the Division of Public and Behavioral Health, Environmental Health Section (EHS) that consumer complaint reporting adheres to specific procedures. The Environmental Health Specialist will ensure that individuals are informed of their rights to express complaints, that individuals who voice complaints will receive an objective review and a timely response, and that consumers and staff will be informed of the agency’s mechanism for the resolution of complaints.

      Consumer complaints for the Environmental Health Section are will be received at our field offices by phone, fax, e-mail or letter. If you would like to file a complaint regarding a facility please be prepared to provide as much information as possible when contacting your local field office. The more information you are able to provide about the facility the more likely it is that we will be able to find a solution to the concern.
