Bureau of Health Care Quality and Compliance

In July 2025, the Nevada Legislature approved the transfer of the Bureau of Health Care Quality & Compliance from the Division of Public and Behavioral Health to the Nevada Health Authority. As part of this transition, our online presence has moved as well. Find us at our new location:

Bureau of Health Protection and Preparedness

The Bureau of Health Protection and Preparedness (HPP) protects public health in a variety of ways, including planning for public health emergencies, and licensing or permitting emergency medical professionals and some medical equipment. In addition, HPP oversees the Nevada Office of Vital Records and the medical marijuana patient registry. For details, select a program below.

Environmental Health Section

The Environmental Health Section focuses on prevention of disease through sanitation, safe food and water, proper disposal of wastes, and promoting safe and healthy environmental conditions throughout Nevada.
