General Information
Manufactured Septic Tank primary treatment units must be approved for use in the State of Nevada. A primary treatment tank is a watertight container that collects and provides primary treatment of wastewater by holding the wastewater and allowing settleable solids to collect on the bottom while floatable solids (oil and grease) rise to the top.
- Primary Treatment unit's purpose is to:
- Receive the discharged sewage from a building sewer;
- Partially or completely treat the sewage; and
- Discharge effluentfor final disposal.
- The term includes
- Septic Tanks,
- Aerobic wastewater treatment units, and
- Nitrogen removal wastewater treatment units, and
- Am other approved alternative treatment system.
